THE NAKED LENS FILM FESTIVAL
Saturday, February 23
511 Dodge Hall (Lifetime Screening Room)


The first ever Columbia University GLBTQ film festival.  Sponsored by the Columbia University School of the Arts student group QuArt (Queer Art) and the Office of the University Chaplain.

Saturday, February 23 at 3pm, join us for a panel discussion with award winning filmmakers Tom Kalin (Swoon, I Shot Andy Warhol) and Rose Troche (Go Fish, The Safety of Objects) and Columbia University faculty member Mark J. Huisman on the current state and future of gay and lesbian cinema.

Then, at 7pm, join us for screenings of several short films by SoA students and faculty, followed by a reception. Both events take place in the Lifetime Screening Room (511 Dodge Hall).

Tickets are free, but please RSVP for a seat to nakedlensfilmfestival@gmail.com as seating is very limited.

TONIGHT! QUART PRESENTS POET TIMOTHY LIU

Our Word, the student group supporting writers of color, and Quart, Queer Arts in the SoA, present:

Dinner & Reading with Poet Timothy Liu
Tues., Apr. 17th at 8:00 pm in Dodge Hall, Room 413 (RSVP required)

Timothy Liu is the author of six books of poems, most recently Of Thee I Sing and For Dust Thou Art. A new book, Polytheogamy, is forthcoming. His poems have been translated into seven languages, and his journals and papers are archived in the Berg Collection at the New York Public Library. An Associate Professor at William Paterson University and a member of the Core Faculty in Bennington College’s Graduate Writing Seminars, Liu lives in Manhattan.
