BANISHED:
American Ethnic Cleansings

Directed by Marco Williams

Screening/Q&A with the director.
Lifetime Screening Room, Room 511, Dodge Hall (SOA)

From the 1860s to the 1920s, towns across the U.S. violently expelled African American residents. Today, these communities remain virtually all white.

As black descendants return to demand justice, BANISHED exposes the hidden history of racial cleansing in America.

Please join us for a special screening  and discussion of a quite important documentary prior to its PBS broadcast.
Sponsored by FOCUS (Filmmakers of Color United in Spirit).
